Two boats on the same tack and overlapped — who has right of way?
Under Rule 11, when two boats are on the same tack and overlapped, the windward boat must keep clear of the leeward boat. Getting your own position — windward or leeward — right is the whole of applying this rule correctly and avoiding a protest.
