I hit a mark and another boat in the same incident — do I need two penalty turns?
If you fail to keep clear and cause contact with both another boat and a mark in the same sequence, you've broken more than one rule and generally need to complete a penalty turn for each infringement under Rule 44.2 before you're exonerated. A single penalty doesn't automatically clear both incidents — check the specific rules broken in each contact.
